What are Support Groups
Support groups allow for you to come together with other individuals in the community who are experiencing the same challenges as you are and find support in one another. Our support groups are hosted by VNA counselors and social workers who can facilitate conversations with the group and give you the help you need.

Bereavement Support Groups
Grieving the loss of a loved one is difficult, and no two people experience the bereavement process the same way or for the same length of time. The VNA offers public bereavement support groups for anyone in the community who has experienced a loss – not just those who have been served by VNA Hospice. Support groups are led by VNA counselors and at the support groups, attendees have the opportunity to share their challenges, express their emotions and connect with others who understand the journey they are on.
All groups are virtual. Please contact the Bereavement Department at 772-567-5551 (ext. 5171) to sign up or for additional information regarding groups.

At a support group meeting, you will have the opportunity to talk about your experiences, share tips and ideas and listen to others who understand the caregiving journey. The VNA Caregiver Support Group is an on-going group to help those actively serving as a caregiver regardless of the diagnosis of their loved one.
